Maria Elena Mondragon, 86, of Albuquerque, died Thursday, Dec. 8, 2005, at her home.
She was born on April 28, 1919, in Pintada, to Lorenzo and Carolina Cordova Garcia. She was a homemaker and of the Catholic faith. She came to Clovis in 1940.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a son, Jose E. Mondragon.
She is survived by seven sons, Joe D. Mondragon (and wife, Mae), Stephen Mondragon (Patricia), Phillip Mondragon, Jimmy Mondragon, Raymond Mondragon (Kathy) and Gabriel Mondragon (Martha), all of Clovis, and Albert Mondragon of Roswell; three daughters, Mela (David) Cordova of Albuquerque, Lucy (Roberto) Hermosillo of Clovis, and Lucia Rubio of Clovis; 27 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.
Rosary will be held at 9:30 a.m. Monday
Father Carlos Chavez will officiate.
Burial will take place at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens in Clovis.
Memorial contributions may be made to Clovis Senior Citizens Center.
