Patsy Ruth (Haws) Miller, 75, of Clovis, died Thursday, Nov. 10, 2005, at her home in Clovis.
She was born May 4, 1930, in Clay Center, Kan., to Merna and Virgil Haws. She graduated from Clay County Community High School in 1948. She married Robert D. Miller (Bob) and she spent 30 years as a military wife living in Indiana, Germany, California, Alaska and New Mexico.
She retired from Air Force civil service at Cannon Air Force Base with 26 years of service. After retirement she worked at Queens and Teens dress store and for Dr. Raymond Ortiz in Clovis. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Clovis.
She is preceded in death by her parents; and son, Steven Miller of Ashland, Va.
She is survived by her husband; two sons, Robert Miller Jr. (and wife, Lynn) of Lodi, Calif., and David Miller (Patti) of Saugus, Calif.; a daughter-in-law, Marie Miller of Ashland, Va.; two granddaughters, Stephanie Toro of Richmond, Va., and Michelle Miller of Saugus, Calif.; a grandson, Bob Miller (Skye) of Stockton, Calif.; two great-grandsons, Weslee and Greyson Toro of Richmond, Va.; a sister, Elizabeth Kent (Don) of Spanaway, Wash.; two nephews, Scott Kent and Ron Kent (Debbie) of Tacoma, Wash.; and a number of cousins and friends around the country.
Ran Loy will officiate.
Burial will be at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens in Clovis.
Pallbearers will be Mike Anthony, Nathan Goodall, James Goodell, Frank Grabowski, Larry D. Smith, and Richard Wrage.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Don Farmer, Earl Hudspeth, Donald Kent, Donald Killough, Lavarne Williams and Robert Wood.
Memorial Contributions in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
