CCC still accepting applications
The committee searching for a new Clovis Community College president is accepting applications until Jan. 20. So far “a few” candidates have applied, search committee member Jay Gurley said.
The presidential search was initiated in the fall after former college President Beverlee McClure accepted a position as New Mexico’s first secretary of higher education. Former CCC Executive Vice President Becky Rowley is the interim president. She has said she would apply for the presidential position.
Gurley said he is optimistic more applicants, in addition to the qualified applicants who have already applied, will seek the position.
Photography exhibit on display at CCC
A black and white photography collection featuring historic churches of New Mexico will be on exhibit in the Clovis Community College Eula Mae Edwards Museum beginning Tuesday through Feb. 28, according to a college press release.
Photographer Jim Jordan of Amarillo spent more than five decades traveling in New Mexico and collecting the images, the release said.
The photographs are displayed in a picture album style with notes about each church included, the release said.
