There is a 20 percent gap between the goal of the Eastern New Mexico United Way 2005-2006 Fundraising Campaign and the funds raised to date, according to a Eastern New Mexico United Way press release.

The campaign goal is set at $482,005 and about $374,256 has been raised thus far in Curry and Roosevelt Counties, the release shows.

The campaign, the release said, has been extended to make sure “all pledges are collected and counted.”
The Eastern New Mexico United Way office is closed until Jan. 2.

However, during the Christmas week donations will be accepted at the Wells Fargo Bank at 223 N. Main, the release said. Donations can be dropped off with a teller, or for assistance, ask for Lois Bowman.
