Dayna Danyel Tredway, 17, of Clovis died Friday, Oct. 21, 2005, in rural Curry County.
She was born June 20, 1988, in Clovis to Johnny and Fern Jenkins Tredway. She was a student at Grady High School. She was on the yearbook staff.
Family members said she enjoyed cheerleading, horses, drawing and writing poetry. She was of Christian faith.
She is preceded in death by three grandfathers, Elvyn Tredway, J.C. Jenkins and Buster Sain; an aunt, Victoria “Vicki” Dilbeck; and an uncle, Allan “Red” Patterson.
She is survived by her parents; two sisters, Audra Tredway and Jonie Neumeister (and husband, Jason), all of Clovis; a brother, Josh Tredway of Clovis; two nephews, Draven Tredway and Dyllan Bailey; two grandmothers, Juanita Tredway of Clovis and Mildred Sain of Melrose; three aunts, Terri Pickard (Junior) of Portales, Kaoma Davis (Daniel) and Debra Knowlden (Michael) of Clovis; three uncles, Cliff Lincoln (Jessica) of Clovis, Danny Tredway (Shannon) of Windsor, Va., and Jerry Tredway (Diana) of Napoleon, Ohio; and numerous cousins.
Otho Rogers will officiate at the memorial services. Cremation has taken place.
Honorary pallbearers will be the junior class at Grady and Melrose.
Memorial contributions may be made through Clovis National Bank to the Dayna Tredway Memorial Scholarship Fund, or in her name to the Grady Alumni Scholarship.
