A 21-year-old Clovis man was sentenced to seven years in prison Thursday for aggravated burglary, according to a release from the 9th Judicial District Attorney’s Office.

Bobbie Owen was arrested in October 2003 for breaking into the Clovis home of an 82-year-old woman with the intent to steal property and money, the release said.

He was also charged with punching a neighbor in the head during the Aug. 11, 2003 incident while leaving the scene.

A prisoner at the Curry County Adult Detention Center implicated Owen and his two brothers as the offenders in the crime, according to District Attorney Matt Chandler.
