Keys to the game: The Mules want to keep Perryton in sight early. “The longer we do that, the better shot we have,” Wood said. On the other hand, Muleshoe has defeated the Rangers in all three previous playoff meetings under Wood.
By the numbers: 23 — Black’s touchdowns this season, including 22 rushing and one receiving. He led the Mules with 1,144 yards rushing on 156 carries while catching 15 passes for 292 yards, and he was also the team’s leading tackler.
