Don H. Geries, 69, of Farwell, died Oct. 19, 2005, at the Integris Canadian Valley Regional Hospital in Yukon, Okla.
He was born Oct. 4, 1936, in Clovis to Raymond “Dick” Douglas and Perlie Ramm Geries.
He graduated from Farwell High School in 1955. He farmed in the Pleasant Hill, Oklahoma Lane and Lariat areas. He married Linda JoAnne Williams on Feb. 7, 1959 in Clovis. He served on the Farwell City Council. He was a charter member of the First Baptist Church in Farwell. Family members said he dedicated his time to his family, grandchildren and to caring for his mother after his retirement.
He was preceded in death by his father and his wife.
He is survived by two sons, Randy Geries (and wife, Sarah) of Friona and Stephen Geries (Michelle) of Yukon, Okla.; two daughters, Dondra Lonsdale (Max) of Yukon, Okla., and Lisa Ard (Shane) of Amarillo; three brothers, Herman Geries of Farwell, Bob Geries of Clovis and Dickie Geries of Uvalde, Texas; his mother, Perlie Geries of Farwell; 10 grandchildren; a father-in-law, Duffy Sasser of Clovis; a sister-in-law, Nancye Gressett of Clovis; two brothers-in-law, Tony Sasser of Stanford, Conn., and James Sasser of Amarillo.
The Rev. Richard Laverty will officiate at services.
Burial will be at Sunset Terrace Memorial Cemetery in Farwell.
Pallbearers are Randy, Ryan and Stephen Geries, Tyler and Max Lonsdale and Shane Ard.
Memorial contributions may be sent to Farwell Convalescent Center in Farwell.
Arrangements are by Steed-Todd Funeral Home in Clovis.
