Samplings of recent calls received by Clovis-area law enforcement officers, according to reports:

Police responded to a report of a fight in progress Aug. 2, at a bar in the 700 block of Prince Street. On arrival they observed a man lying on the ground. The subject was transported to Plains Regional Medical Center.

Witnesses told police a verbal altercation between the injured subject and another male turned physical. At some point the injured man had lost his balance and fallen, striking his head on the ground.

No charges were filed.

Officers were called to the parking lot of Clovis Community College Aug. 19 in reference to a report that an adult male had “mooned” a car full of children.

The woman confronted the man and informed security.
The suspect said the children had been bothering him so he “mooned” them.

The man gave a written statement to police, who plan to seek an arrest for disorderly conduct.

Police were called to the mall parking lot in the 2000 block of Prince Street on Aug. 19 in reference to a report of a shattered vehicle window. The caller told police the back window was broken while he was in the mall.

Officers were unable to determine what caused the window to shatter.

During an Aug. 20 traffic stop at 10th and Main streets police detected the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle.

The driver told police he did have marijuana cigarettes in the ashtray. The drugs were placed into evidence and the driver was issued a citation for possession of marijuana and released.
