Mrs. Elizabeth Jane Graham Cagle, 96, of Clovis, died Tuesday, July 26, 2005, at her home.
She was born on June 3, 1909, in Stevenson, Ala., to James R. and Lena Huddleston Graham.
She came to Clovis at 10 months of age in 1910 with her family. She married Reese Cagle on Nov. 17, 1935, in Clovis. She graduated from Clovis High School and business college in Hot Springs, Ark. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Westminster Guild and was a charter member of the Business and Professional Women’s Club, Clovis Girl Scout Council and Chapter AB of PEO. Family members said she enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling, sewing, playing bridge and visiting with friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two brothers, F.J. and Jim Graham; and four sisters, Clara Gibbs, Mary Graham, Letty Eddins, and Katherine Campbell.
Survivors include two daughters, Nancy Blackburn (and husband, C.J.) and Cindy Cagle; three grandchildren, Jay Lynn Blackburn (Darshan), Julie Blackburn, and Lisa Schumacher (Gaylan); and six great-grandchildren, Jennifer, Heather, and Brian Blackburn, and Kelsey, Laci, and Rance Schumacher.
The Rev. N. Scott King will officiate the services.
Burial will be at Mission Garden of Memories in Clovis.
Pallbearers are James Foster, Gene Walker, Jerry Northcutt, Jerry Powell, Don Maggio, and Bruce Smith.
Honorary pallbearers are Ruthie Walker, Margie Lopez, Dianna Chavez, La Tricia Turner, Molly Urioste and Stephanie Small.
Memorial contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church in Clovis, the Boys Ranch of New Mexico, or the New Mexico Christian Children’s Home in Portales.
