Katherine “Kat” Campbell, 98, of Clovis, died Tuesday, June 28, 2005, at Plains Regional Medical Center in Clovis.
She was born on July 20, 1906, in Stevenson, Ala., to James Robert and Lene Huddleson Graham.
She married Thomas A. “Gus” Campbell on June 11, 1925. She was a seamstress for Mildred Marie Dress Shop. Family members said she enjoyed reading, playing bridge and working in the church. She was the oldest member of the First Presbyterian Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband.
Survivors include a daughter, Mayve Jo Sparks (and husband, B.E. “Sparky”) of Clovis; a sister, Elizabeth Cagle of Clovis; two grandchildren, Brent Sparks of Corpus Christi, Texas, and Brad Sparks (Gena) of Amarillo; two great-grandchildren, Michael Sparks of Amarillo and Daniel Sparks of Corpus Christi, Texas; two nieces, Nancy Blackburn of Broadview and Cindy Cagle of Clovis.
The Rev. N. Scott King will officiate the services.
Burial will be at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens in Clovis.
Pallbearers are Max Ford, D.L. McKinney, Dr. O.T. Rozzell, Steven Hudson, and Dr. David Hudson.
Memorial contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church.
