Olive “Oley” M. Hess, of Clovis, died Sunday, June 26, 2005, at Laurel Ridge Healthcare in Clovis.
She was born in Batavia, N.Y., to Arthur and Fannie Mullen. Family members did not release her age or date of birth.
Hess moved to Santa Fe in 1956 where she lived until moving to Clovis in 2003. She was a Trustee and Elder at First Presbyterian Church of Santa Fe. She was a former president of the First Presbyterian Women’s Association. She was also a member of Saint John’s United Methodist Church of Santa Fe, past president of Nelle’s Service Club of Santa Fe and a member of the Pilot Club.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband Frederick Hess.
Survivors include one daughter, Cheryl Richardson (and husband Charles) of Saint Vrain; two granddaughters, Trilby Higby (Matt) of Las Cruces; and Shirley Porter (Cory) of Clovis; five great-grandchildren, Jae’Lena, Charlotte, and Amber Richardson, all of Las Cruces, and Dylan and Rachael Porter, both of Clovis.
Services are pending, but will be held this week at the McGee Memorial Chapel Funeral Home in Santa Fe.
Burial will be at Santa Fe National Cemetery in Santa Fe.
Arrangements are by Steed-Todd Funeral Home.
