Abelino Encinias, 68, of Sacatosa, died Tuesday, June 14, 2005 in Sacatosa.
He was born on Jan. 27, 1937, in San Geronimo, to Manuel and Eumelia Encinias.
He was a farmer all his life. He farmed in Portales and later in Sacatosa. Family members said he will be remembered for his jokes and sense of humor.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Delio and Fermin Encinas; a sister, Alice Santillanes; and former spouses, Lourdes Encinias and Jane Encinias.
Survivors include three daughters, Elizabeth Ortega (and husband, Juan) and Terry Mendoza (Jose), all of Portales, and Melissa Sena (Johnny Jr.) of Sacatosa; 10 grandchildren, Anysia and Robert Montoya, Nazario Ortega, Michael, Elizabeth, and Robert Encinias, Amanda and Jeremy Jimenez, Chantel Duarte and Mario Sena; nine great-grandchildren; three brothers, Ancension Encinias (Alicia), Santiago Encinias, Narciso Encinias (Tina); and two sisters, Tillie Benavidez and Esther Lucero (Arsenio); and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and family.
A rosary is scheduled for 7 p.m. Thursday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Villanueva.
The Rev. John MacKenna will officiate the services.
Burial will be on family land in Sacatosa.
