Mr. Floyd Cooper, 66, died Friday, April 29, 2005.

He was born on March 20, 1939, in Marlow, Okla., to E.L. and Viola Haston Cooper.

He served in the U.S. Air Force. He married Geneva Stidham on July 12, 1960, in Portales. He served 26 years with the Clovis Fire Department having come up through the ranks, retiring as fire chief. He was a member of Parkland Baptist Church and the Kripple Creek coffee club.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his twin brother, Lloyd; and two brothers, John Cooper and Roy Bullard.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Duce Cooper (and wife, Glena) of Levelland, Texas, and Tray Cooper (Renee) of Tampa, Fla.; four granddaughters, Whitney Lynch (Shaun), Mallory and Chelsea Cooper, and Kayla Haack; two sisters, Mary Bishop of Duncan, Okla., and Shirley Davidson of Paris, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The Rev. Doug Brooks and Duce Cooper will officiate the services.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of Lubbock.
