Samplings of recent calls received by Clovis-area law enforcement officers, according to reports:
Police were dispatched Friday to the 500 block of West Street in reference to a criminal damage report.
One of the complainants owned the property, and showed officers that the front door had been damaged.
The complainants offered a possible suspect, but no evidence could be located.

Officers working a saturation patrol Friday on 21st Street observed a car approaching at excessive speed. The officer’s radar showed the driver at 50 mph.
Police initiated a traffic stop. The driver said he was coming to a store in the area and did not comment on his speed. The officer asked him if he had been consuming alcohol, and the man said he had consumed two glasses of wine.
During field sobriety tests, the man was unable to satisfy the officer of his sobriety, according to the report. He also registered a .17 on the breathalyzer. He was arrested and taken to the Curry County Adult Detention Center.

Police responded Friday to the 500 block of W. Yucca St. in reference to a drunken male refusing to leave the property.
Responding officers made contact with the man, who had a strong odor of alcohol and appeared very intoxicated. His eyes were red and watery, his speech was slurred and he swayed while standing still, police observed.
He was asked to leave repeatedly. He finally agreed to leave, but said he would rather go to jail.
Police took him to jail.
