Angela Armijo Mendez, 69, of Clovis, died Tuesday, April 26, 2005, at Laurel Plains Healthcare in Clovis.
She was born on Nov. 26, 1935, in Derramero, to C.V. and Luz Villasana Armijo.
She married Albert Mendez on Oct. 14, 1955, in Clovis. She was a substitute teacher for Clovis schools. She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe, the choir, the Friendship Senior Citizens Center and the Kitchen Band.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Victor R. Armijo; and three sisters, Herminia Lucero, Mary Sena, and Chole Archibeque.
Survivors include her husband; four sons, Albert G. Mendez Jr. of Phoenix, Carl Joe Mendez of Albuquerque, Robert Mendez of Clovis, and Patrick Mendez of Rio Ranch; three daughters, Debbie Mendez and Judy Armijo, both of Clovis, and Brenda Mendez of Phoenix; four brothers, C.V. Armijo Jr. of Clovis, Leo Armijo of Albuquerque, Joe Armijo and Freddie Armijo, both of Lemore, Calif.; two sisters, Genevieve Gonzales of Vaughn, Margaret McCormick of Clovis; 17 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
A rosary is scheduled for 7 p.m. today at Muffley Funeral Home Chapel in Clovis.
Father Sotero Sena will officiate the services.
Burial will follow at Mission Garden of Memories in Clovis.
Pallbearers are Joseph Huerta, Adolph R. Saiz II, Carl, Patrick, Albert Jr., and Robert Mendez.
Honorary pallbearers are Rito and Eloy Lopez.
Arrangements are by Muffley Funeral Home of Clovis.
