Adam Romero, 15, of Clovis, died Saturday, April 30, 2005, in Curry County.
He was born on July 8, 1989, in Clovis, to Richard Romero and Debra Gallegos.
He was a sophomore at Clovis High School. He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. He received a character of the month award at Marshall Junior High School.
Family members said he enjoyed art, music, hanging out with friends, fishing, hunting and playing sports with family.
Survivors include his father; his mother; his step-mother, Peggy Trujillo of Clovis; his grandparents, Vincente Gallegos (and wife, Stella) of Clovis; seven brothers, Richard Romero Jr., Ronnie Romero (Kristi), Eric Romero (Autumn), Patrick Trujillo, Johnathan Trujillo, Adrian Trujillo, and Raul Trujillo, all of Clovis; five sisters, Stephanie Romero (and partner, Paul Maes), Tiffany Romero (Chuy Marquez), Marissa Romero, Veronica Trujillo (Raymond Lukkar), Amanda Trujillo, all of Clovis; seven nieces and nephews; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bonefacio and Katie Romero; and an uncle, Joe Romero.
A Rosary is scheduled for 7 p.m. Tuesday at Our Lady of Guadalupe in Clovis.
Father Carlos Chavez will officiate the services.
Burial will be at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens Clovis.
Pallbearers are Paul Maes, Ignacio Gallegos, Roman, J.J. and James Peralez, and Abe Montoya.
Honorary pallbearers are Vincent “Smiley” and Raymond Gallegos, Jimmy and Jessie Romero, Rosendo Abeyta, and close friends and family.
Arrangements are by Muffley Funeral Home of Clovis.
