Mrs. Romaine Marie Richer, 85, of Clovis, died Saturday, March 12, 2005, at Plains Regional Medical Center in Clovis.
She was born on Sept. 13, 1919, in Cooperstown, N.Y., to Calvin and Leona Rogers.
She married Harry Quaif on June 27, 1938, in Cooperstown, N.Y., and Clarence Richer in 1968.
Family members said she loved to sew, knit and crochet, go for rides in her son’s V.W. convertible, spending time with her cat, Muffin, and cooking for her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Henry Quaif and Clarence Richer; two brothers, Gerald and Carlton Rogers; and a son, Jerry Quaif.
Survivors include two sons, Robert Quaif (and wife, Sheila) of Schagaticoke, N.Y. and Jack Quaif (Sharon) of Clovis; two daughters, Jean Richards (Harry) of Clovis and Susan Quaif (and companion, Dale Sullivan) of Cooperstown, N.Y.; a daughter-in-law, Joann Quaif of Belmont, Mo.; a step-daughter, Jenny Bass of Richfield Spa, N.Y.; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; two sisters-in-law, Sophie and Helen Rogers, both of Cooperstown, N.Y.; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins
The Rev. Ron Eggleton will officiate the services.
Burial will be at a later date at Fly Creek Valley Cemetery in Fly Creek, N.Y.
