Eva Mares Lindley, 65, of Clovis, died Wednesday, March 2, 2005, at Plains Regional Medical Center in Clovis.
She was born on Nov. 20, 1939, in Yeso, to Margarito and Eulogia Marquez Mares.
She married Bill Lindley in Santa Rosa. She was a waitress, and a member of St. Rose of Lima in Santa Rosa. Family members said she loved to cook and care for her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and three brothers, Sammy, Juan, and Larry Mares.
Survivors include two sons, Leo Lopez (and wife, Joyce) of Clovis and Freddie Lopez of Santa Rosa; five daughters, Mia Lopez and Barbara Lopez, both of Clovis, Angie Orosco and Kathy Lopez, both of Santa Rosa, and Donna Lopez of Tucumcari; six brothers, Billy Mares of Austin, Texas, Leo, George, Cipriano, and Richard Mares, all of Clovis, and Robert Mares of Albuquerque; three sisters, Edemia Valdez and Rose Moya, both of Clovis and Peggy Banister of San Diego; 19 grandchildren; and 32 great-grandchildren.
Father Sotero Sena will officiate the services.
A rosary is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Our Lady of Guadalupe in Clovis.
Cremation has taken place.
Arrangements are by Muffley Funeral Home of Clovis.
