Ira Lindell Taylor, 85, of Clovis, died Saturday, Jan. 1, 2005, at Laural Plains Healthcare in Clovis.
He was born on Nov. 13, 1919, in Nashville, Ark., to Charles Columbus and Flora Bell Laurent Taylor. He was an engineer for AT&SF Railroad for 37 years retiring in 1984, a member of Central Baptist Church and the Brotherhood of Local Engineers.
Survivors include two sons, Charles Lynn Taylor (and wife, Donna) of San Antonio, Texas, and Stephen Keith Taylor of Bakersfield, Calif.; four daughters, Frances Jean Taylor Henderson of Seattle, Georgia Ann Meier, Paula Kay Renfro (Samuel) and Sheila Jo Ferreira, all of Clovis; and six grandchildren, Keith and Valerie Taylor, Robert and Timothy Meier, Teresa Bonkowske, and Katrina Ferreira.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and two daughters, Sharon Lee Taylor and Deborah May Taylor.
The Rev. Dean Turvaville will officiate the services.
Burial will be at Mission Garden of Memories in Clovis.
Pallbearers are Lawrence Riggins, Leon Kelly, Travis Denton, Ralph Phillips, Bill Chapman, and Dwain Collins.
