Russell Hopkins, 75, of Tulsa, Okla., died Sunday, Jan. 23, 2005, at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa.
He was born on June 6, 1929, in Alex, Okla., to Don and Bertle (Ashlock) Hopkins. He was a livestock inspector for the State of Oklahoma for 26 years. He retired in 1993. He married Ginger Ballard on Sept. 30, 1981. The lived in the Vinita-White Oak area for many years and had recently moved to Jay, Okla. He attended the Bunker Hill Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Gene and Gerald Hopkins.
Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Sheryl Davenport of Jay; Terri Bullard of Cleora and Tammy Hensley of White Oak; two sons, Mark Hopkins of White Oak, and Joe Hopkins of Artesia; four step-children, Tony Brown and Douglas and Jeff Duncan all of Jay, and Teresa Hibbard of Bella Vista, Ark.; a sister, Muriel Terry of Lovington; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and seven step-grandchilren.
