Carla Lynn Wilkerson, 50 of Lubbock, died Monday, Nov. 1, 2004.
She was born on Nov. 11, 1953, in Dublin, Texas, to James R. and Mary Alice Wilkerson.
She graduated from Phoenix Christian High School in Arizona in 1972 where she was homecoming queen. She worked for several years as a teacher’s aide at a school for handicapped children in Phoenix. Later, she was employed by EXPANCO in Fort Worth. In 1976, she became a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She moved to Lubbock in 1996, where she was a member of the First Baptist Church. She had recently become a home missionary for her church.
Survivors include her parents; a sister, Shelley Denton of Clovis; a brother-in-law, Jim Denton of Clovis; two nephews, Ryan and Chase Denton, both of Clovis; three nieces, Brooke Denton, and Amy Marshall (and husband, Kirk), both of Clovis, and Krista Wealick (Matt) of British Columbia, Canada; and two great-nephews, Zachary and Luke Marshall, and Bridger of British Columbia, Canada.
The Rev. Jerry Huggins and the Rev. John Ballard will officiate the services.
Burial will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Live Oak Cemetary in Dublin, Texas.
