Dulcinia S. Garcia, 78, of Willard, died Saturday, Sept. 25, 2004, in Albuquerque.
She was born on Aug. 17, 1926, in Deramadero, to Louis and Aurelia Velasquez Marez.
She married Rafael M. Garcia on May 5, 1946, in Portales.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a great-granddaughter, Alana Padilla; five brothers, Marcos, Jacobo, Lois, Alejandro and Juan Marez; and three sisters, Frances Gonzales, Rosa Garcia and Lupe Marez.
Survivors include her husband; four sons, Ambrosio R. Garcia (and wife, Maggie) of Albuquerque, Edward M. Garcia of Willard, Ernest M. Garcia of Clovis and Albert S. Padilla (Brenda) of Estancia; a daughter, Lucinda V. Padilla (George) of Albuquerque; two sisters Julia Martinez of Encino and Eliara “Lala” Apodaca of Clovis; 11 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A rosary is scheduled for 7 p.m. Monday at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Willard.
Father Florian Renaud will officiate the services.
Burial will be at the Willard Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Conrad and Andrew Padilla, Vicente, Juan R. and Juan G. Garcia and Tony Apodaca.
Honorary pallbearers are Frank and Guillermo Marez, Raymundo Apodaca, Roy Gallegos, Rick Baca and Anthony Garcia.
Arrangements are by Harris-Hanlon Mortuary of Mountainair.
