Her grandparents are Bob and Karla Hunt of Fort Sumner and Dale McIlroy II of Bonsall, Calif.
Her great-grandparents are Jimmie Stephenson and Eddie and Wanda Stephenson, all of Portales, Beryl Hunt of Fort Sumner and Dale and Nancy McIlroy of Panhandle, Texas.
Hank and Delorse Paskiewicz celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Sept. 4, 2004.
The family celebrated by taking a Mississippi Riverboat cruise.
The couple was married on Sept. 4, 1954, in Clovis.
They met in 1951 when Hank played for the Clovis Pioneers in the West Texas/New Mexico League.
He was born and raised in Chicago. He signed a professional baseball contract with the Chicago Cubs organization in 1949. He served in the U.S. Army in 1952 and 1953. The couple moved to Las Vegas, N.M., where Hank earned his teaching degree from New Mexico Highlands University. He taught for 34 years with Albuquerque Public Schools, the last 20 years at Sandia High School, where he coached baseball.
Delorse was school secretary at Matheson Park Elementary until her retirement.
They have three children, Danny Paskiewicz, Larry Paskiewicz and Kerry Tavasci; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
