TUCUMCARI — Clovis City Commissioner Isidro Garcia was re-elected as director of the New Mexico Municipal League on Thursday during the organization’s 47th annual conference in Tucumcari, according to a press release from the non-profit organization.
More than 600 people from across the state attended the annual conference, including several Clovis officials.
Santa Fe Mayor Pro Tem Carol Robertson Lopez was elected president of the league. Albuquerque Council Vice Chair Eric Griego was elected president-elect and Española Councilor Joseph Maestas was elected vice president.
All officers and directors will assume office in October.
The New Mexico Municipal League is a non-partisan organization representing all incorporated municipalities in New Mexico. The league is headquartered in Santa Fe.
