Noblett-Fergus
Alton and Jennifer Noblett of Clovis announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Olivia Noblett of Thornton, Colo., to Christan Fergus of Clovis, son of Don and Claire LaBelle of Clovis.
The couple will exchange vows on Sept. 12, 2004, in Lubbock.
The reception will be at 7 p.m. on Sept. 10, 2004, at the Master’s Center in Clovis.
The bride-elect is a 1999 graduate of Texico High School.
She is employed at Your Office U.S.A., in Denver.
The prospective groom is a 1999 graduate of Clovis Christian School.
He is employed at Java Loft.
The reception is open to friends and relatives.

Anniversary

Snipes
Bob and Betty Snipes of Clovis will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Aug. 22, 2004.
The couple was married on Aug. 22, 1954, in Clovis.
They have three children and five grandchildren.
They are retired.

The bride is the daughter of Bill and Donna Smith of Clovis.
She is the granddaughter of Don and Venita Crook and the late Gilbert and Elizabeth Smith, all of Clovis.
The bridegroom is the son of Stan and Cathy Fury of Broadview.
He is the grandson of Margaret Fury and the late John Fury of Broadview, Maurice and Florence LeMay of Clovis, and Art and Carol Hill of Espinola.
Danielle Smith was the maid of honor.
Kristi Fury and Shana Pipkin were bridesmaids.
Jason Lindsey was the best man.
Walon Jones and Quentin Ray were groomsmen.
Kris Kelly and Martin Meckechnie were ushers.
Jamie Justice was the flower girl.
Garett and Colon Johnson were the ring bearers.
The couple will reside in Lubbock.
The bride is employed at Laurel Healthcare of Clovis and Tucumcari. She will begin a Nurse Practitioner graduate program at Texas Tech University in the fall.

The bridegroom is the son of Sam and Helen Martinez of Clovis.
The bride was escorted and given in marriage by Dawson Chavez, son of the couple.
The groom was escorted by Jordan Chavez, son of the groom.
