Woodrow W. Bourne, 91, of Durant, Okla., died Friday, July 2, 2004, at Oakridge Manor Nursing Home in Durant.
He was born Oct. 31, 1912, in House to John Alexander and Dorthula (Hampton) Bourne.
He married Lillie Jameson on Aug. 31, 1935, in Durant.
A former resident of Clovis, Mr. Bourne was a machine operator. He was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene and worked for El Rancho Feedmill of Clovis. Family members said he loved gardening, fishing, dominoes and bingo.
Mr. Bourne was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, four brothers and four sisters.
Survivors include two sons, Billy Wayne (and wife Glenna) of Topeka, Kan. and Donald Wilson (Juanita) of Durant; one daughter, Evelyn Joyce Estell Wilkins (John) of Mineral Wells, Texas; seven grandchildren, David Wilkins and Shari Dalton of Mineral Wells. Bryan Bourne of Liberty Township, Ohio, Craig Bourne, of Austin, Texas, Jerry Bourne, of Pontotoc, Miss., Keith Bourne, of Topeka, Kan., and Curt Bourne, of Houston; one brother, James E. Bourne (Marie) of Durant; one sister, Dorothy Vails of Durant; and in-laws Dewey Preston “Ted” Jameson of Las Cruces and Rosalee Bourne of Durant.
Services will be officiated by Revs. David Wilkins and Anthony Williams. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive visitors from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. (CDT) on Monday at Coffey-Murray Funeral Home in Durant.
