Conner to adjudicate local piano students

Susan Conner, a nationally certified teacher of music, will serve as the adjudicator for the National Guild of Piano Teachers in Clovis and Portales.
Conner has taught piano in Winters, Texas, for the past 29 years.
She is a graduate of Texas Tech University with a degree in piano pedagogy.
She has been inducted into Pi Kappa Lambda, an honorary music organization at Texas Tech.
Conner is currently a vice president for the Texas Music Teachers Association and has served the organization in several capacities.
She is also an active member in the Abilene Music Teachers Assocation. Both organizations are affiliated with Music Teachers National Assocation.
Conner serves as the pianist for First Baptist Church in Winters.
Sixty-seven piano students will be adjudiated from Clovis and Portales May 4-6 from the studios of Ferrell Roberts and Doris Tankersley of Clovis and Eunice Shumpert of Portales.
Students will perform memorized programs of piano literature including scales, cadences, sightreading and other required musicianship phases.
