Porfirio “Po” Gonzalez, 52, of Clovis died Monday, March 22, 2004, in Clovis.
He was born Nov. 21, 1951, in Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico, to Homero and Carmen Duran Gonzalez. He arrived in Clovis four years ago from Oklahoma City, Okla.
He was a retired tool and die maker of Cooper-Cameron Corp. and a member of the American Legion Post Nos. 25 and 117.
Survivors include a daughter, Vida Galvan (and husband Jose) of Oklahoma City; three sons; Porfirio Gonzalez Jr. of New York City, Eziah Gonzalez of Clovis, and Homero Gonzalez (Flor) of Fort Walton Beach, Fla.; two granddaughters, Emily Lynn Galvan and Nicole Lee Gonzalez; his fiance, Lisa Lueras of Clovis; three step-daughters, Carisima Garcia of Clovis, Esperanza Garcia of Las Cruces, and Consuelo Garcia of San Diego, Calif.; two step-grandsons, Devin and Elijah Garcia; five sisters, Elsie Gonzalez of New York City, Marisol Gonzalez, Ivette Gonzalez, and Marivette Gonzalez, all of Puerto Rico, and Lisette Gonzalez of Atlanta, Ga.
The Rev. Homero Gonzalez will officiate.
Cremation has taken place.
