The Eastern New Mexico Greyhounds rallied from two runs down with a six-run, seventh inning to defeat Oklahoma Panhandle State 11-8 Wednesday in the first game of a doubleheader.
A fifth-inning triple play helped the Greyhounds cruise to a 13-1 victory in Game 2.
Josh Sellers pitched six innings to earn the win in the opener for the Greyhounds. Matt Elliott had an RBI triple in the seventh inning and later scored the tying run. An OPSU infield error gave the Greyhounds (11-17) the lead for good.
ENMU catcher Brett Scherer went 4-for-5 with a home run in nightcap. David Swinconos pitched five innings for the win.
Shortstop Matt Hinojosa started the triple play when he caught a line drive, tagged second for a force out and threw to first for the third out.
Panhandle State fell to 1-29.
The Greyhounds travel to Liberal, Kan. to take on Fort Hays State at noon today.
