Donald Rose, 66, died Friday, Feb. 27, 2004, at Plains Regional Medical Center in Clovis.
He was born Aug. 1, 1937, in Ohio to McKinley and Marie Rose.
He married his wife, Mable Bea, in Delaware, Ohio.
Family members said he enjoyed meeting new people and talking to everyone and loved holidays when there would be large gatherings of his children and grandchildren.
He retired from the U.S. Air Force as a technical sergeant.
Family members said he was a crew chief for an F-4 fighter.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; and two grandsons, David Kieth Block and Nathan Cole Rose Sr.
Survivors include sons, David (and wife Martha) Rose, of Belen, and Donald (and Karen) Rose Jr., of Baytown; daughters, Peggy Kline, of Farmington, Pam (and Lari) Bollinger, of Portales, and Patricia, (and Carl) Block, of Oklahoma City, Okla.; nine grandchildren, Rachel Reyes, Christopher Jaynes, Emily Carter, Katrina Rose, Tiffany Clewis, Katelynn Kline, James Block, Michelle Block and Vincent Rose; seven great-grandchildren; and a brother, Ralph (and Betty) Rose, of Michigan.
Burial will be at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens in Clovis with full military honors provided by Cannon Air Force Base Honor Guard.
