What is your idea of a perfect day? Playing baseball in the spring. The temperature is 70 degrees with no wind and no clouds.

What is your favorite TV show, past and present? My past favorite TV show was when Warner Brothers Looney Tunes came on. My present TV would have to be Baseball Tonight and SportsCenter.

What is so great about your favorite sport? Everything! When you’re up to bat you are in control and you can change the game with one swing. When you’re on the field and on defense you use deception all the time.

What is your favorite taste? My favorite taste would have to be my mom’s enchiladas mixed up with beans and Spanish rice all put in a freshly made sopapilla.

Tell us about a time you were afraid … It happened when I lived across from La Casita Elementary School. I was about 7 or 8 years old and I had just fallen asleep. I’m not sure but I think it was about 10 o’clock. My dog, Pluma, was barking like crazy. So I got up and looked out my window to see what she was barking at and I saw a guy breaking in to my neighbor’s house. And he looked right at me. At this point I was trembling. So I ran to my parents room and they yelled out the window and the robber ran off. That was the most afraid I have ever been.

Tell us about a happy time … When I was 4 or 5 years old and I was going to headstart by Our Lady of Guadalupe every morning right before school. When my mom dropped me off I said, “See you later, Alligator.” My mom said, “After a while, Crocodile.” That just made me feel good the whole day.
