Mr. Preston Dale Dosher, 74, of Joplin, Mo., died Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2003, at a nursing home in Joplin, Mo.
He was born on Jan. 1, 1929, in Tipton, Okla.
In 1943 he moved to west Texas where he farmed and attended the Oklahoma Lane school. He moved to California in the 1950s and lived there for many years. He worked for Anaconda Wire in Orange, Calif. In 1984 he moved to Clovis to care for his parents. He worked on his brother’s farm and ranch north of Clovis. He was a cowboy. He married Leslie in 1955. In 1995 he moved to Carthage, Mo.
Survivors include three daughters, Lee Ann Betterton, Teresa Stegall and Luthericia “Shelly” Dosher, all of Joplin; four grandchildren, Geoffrey and Stephanie Pitts and Tia and Dedra Chrisman; two great-grandchildren, Dylan and Starla Chrisman; two brothers, Frank Dosher Jr. of Clovis and Lanny Dosher of Albuquerque; five sisters, Joyce McGuire of Lubbock, Darla Stanley of Atwater, Calif., Shirley Patteson of Fairport, N.J., Carmelita Holland of Roswell and Marilyn Sandi of Santa Anna, Calif.; and many brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place.
