David F. Miller, 78, of Clovis, died Nov. 24, 2003, at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Amarillo.
He was born May 4, 1925, in Blanchard, Okla., to Lawrence Finise and Mabel Chloene Gay Miller.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II as a Seaman 1st Class.
He came to Clovis in 1945 where he married Cecilia Samora on Sept. 29, 1978.
He worked at AT&SF as a foreman for seven years.
He also owned a refrigeration and appliance service.
He was a member of the Prince Street Baptist Church in Clovis.
He loved playing the guitar and violin, hunting and fishing.
He loved being a husband, father, and grandfather.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Gene Miller, Lawrence Miller Jr. and Gayland Miller.
He is survived by his wife, Cecilia Miller; four sons, Larry Miller and David Lynn Miller, both of Spokane, Wash., James Griego of Belen, and Richard Griego of Clovis; four daughters, Ann Miller of Klamath Falls, Ore.; B.J. Powers and Jolana Griego, both of Clovis, and Mona Salvadar of San Antonio, Texas; a sister, Chloene Ball of Clovis; 19 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Burial was in Santa Fe National Cemetery.
Arrangements were by Muffley Funeral Home of Clovis.
