Rex Ormon, 74, of Clovis, died Friday, Nov. 7, 2003, at his home in Clovis.
He was born Dec. 26, 1928, in Lockney, Texas, to Thomas and Arva McCree Ormon.
He married Dorothy Frear on Aug. 14, 1949, in Clovis.
He was a 1951 graduate of Eastern New Mexico University where he was 1951 student body president, Greatest Greyhound 1950 and member of Who’s Who in American Colleges and Universities 1951.
He was a member and former deacon of First United Presbyterian Church in Clovis. He joined the Fitzhugh Insurance Agency and, along with Jim Malloy, formed the Fitzhugh, Malloy & Ormon Insurance Agency.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Kenneth and Harold Ormon; and one grandson, Blake Rundell.
He is survived by his wife; a son, Tom Ormon (and wife Nancy) of Keller, Texas; two daughters, Julie (Alton) Tindell of Willard and Patti (Ted) Stallings of Clovis; and five grandchildren, Chad Ormon, Chelsea Ormon, Scott Rundell, Cameron Stallings and Crystal Curbo.
Rev. Lance Clemmons will officiate the memorial services. Cremation has taken place.
Honorary pallbearers will be, Delbert Kuhn, B.B. Lees, Lewis Yarborough, Jim Malloy, Lee McKinney and Bill Sparks.
The family requests memorial contributions to the First Presbyterian Church.
