Manuel E. Villa, 23 of Clovis, a construction worker, died Aug. 20, 2003, at University Medical Hospital in Albuquerque.
He was born June 5, 1979, in Fort Sumner to Gilbert and Lydia Olivas Villa.
He was a lifetime resident of Clovis where and was a cook for Sundance Steakhouse. He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Family members said he loved to play video games, watch TV with his son and build model cars.
He was preceded in death by his father, Gilbert Villa, and his grandparents.
Survivors include a son, Julian Villa of Clovis; his mother, Mary Lydia Villa of Clovis; five brothers, Toby Villa of Clovis, Thomas Villa (and wife, Virginia) of Pueblo, Colo., Gilbert Villa (Rosemary) and Carlos Villa (Teresa), all of Clovis, and Francisco “Pancho” Villa (Carmen) of Shreveport, La.; three sisters, Margaret Crisp (Jimmy) and Sonia Robles (Chris), all of Clovis, and Casandra Anderson of Colquet, Minn.; and his fiance, Aryel Funk of Clovis.
Father Sotero Sena will officiate the services.
Burial will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Fort Sumner Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Toby Villa, Thomas Villa, Gilbert Villa, Carlos Villa, Francisco “Pancho” Villa, Margaret Crisp and Sonia and Chris Robles.
Honorary pallbearers will be his nieces and nephews.
