Miss Tina Louise Ortiz, 31, of Farwell, a cashier, died Friday, May 16, 2003, at University Medical Center in Lubbock.
She was born Feb. 23, 1972, in Muleshoe to Manuel and Janie Garza Ortiz.
She graduated from Farwell High School in 1991. Family members said she loved softball, Spanish soap operas and kids, and also loved to listen to music. She was a member of San Jose Catholic Church in Texico.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Nabor Garza; her great-grandmothers, Virginia Ortiz and Luisa Garcia; and her great-grandfather, Frank Garcia.
She is survived by her mother, Janie Ortiz, of the home; her father and stepmother, Manuel and Marie Ortiz of Albuquerque; two sisters, Gina Ortiz of Farwell and Lena Ortiz of Dumas, Texas; her grandparents: Francisca Garza of Farwell, Martha Ortiz of Clovis and Orlando Ortiz of Texico; her great-grandfather, Adonias Ortiz of Texico; her nephews, Mark Sanchez Jr. of Clovis and Andrew Chavez of Dumas; and one niece, Ivory Hernandez of Farwell.
Father Sotero Sena will officiate the services.
Burial will be at Sunset Terrace Memorial Cemetery in Farwell.
Pallbearers will be Michael Arce, Monty Delgado, Adrian Nicholas, Victor Hernandez, Heath Dollar and Derek Garza.
Steed-Todd Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
