Clyde Rush
Services: 1 p.m. Friday at Steed-Todd Chapel in Clovis.
Mr. Clyde E. Rush, 73, of Clovis, retired U.S. Air Force, died Monday, May 26, 2003, at Northwest Texas Hospital in Amarillo.
He was born on Sept. 12, 1929, in Port Clinton, Ohio, to Lillian and Earl Rush Sr.
He attended schools in Michigan, Connecticut and Ohio. He joined the Air Force while living in New York, retiring after 20 years. Later he retired from the Santa Fe Railroad. Family members said he was an avid golfer, he enjoyed playing golf with buddies and participated in many Santa Fe golf tournaments.
He was preceded in death by his father; and a brother, Tony.
He is survived by two daughters, Valerie Adkins (and significant other, David Fallis) of Clovis and Lorilee Rumsey (and husband, Roger) of Los Alamos; his mother, Lillian Hickaman of Bloomville, Ohio; two brothers, Ronald Rush of Finley, Ohio, and Olen Rush of Florida; a sister, Elaine Rush of New Canaan, Conn.; two grandchildren, Shanel Adkins and David Lee Fallis, both of Clovis; and his ex-wife and friend, Mary Lou of Layton of Utah.
Honorary pallbearers will be all friends and neighbors.
