Following discovery of a possible clandestine methamphetamine lab, narcotics agents arrested two Albuquerque residents Wednesday afternoon at a Clovis hotel, according to state police.
Mike Rodriguez, 29, and Shawna Brenn, 20, were arrested in a hotel room by the New Mexico State Police and Region V Drug Task Force. Agents found seven gallons of liquid iodine, about 5,000 tablets of pseudo-ephedrine, and one quart of acetone, active ingredients in the manufacture of methamphetamine, a press release stated.
Other items present included other narcotic paraphernalia and a small amount of methamphetamine.
Rodriguez and Brenn were charged with attempt to manufacture, conspiracy to manufacture, and possession of methamphetamine, as well as possession of narcotic paraphernalia.
The were held at the Curry County Detention Center until Friday when bail was posted.
