Mrs. Dorothy Geraldine Looney, 77, of Bovina, died Saturday, May 3, 2003, in Friendswood, Texas.
She was born on Nov. 25, 1925, in Clovis, to Loy Ivy Lobban and Jessie Catherine Noble.
She was a long-time resident of Bovina and a long-time member of the First Baptist Church of Bovina. Family members said she was a talented lady who will be remembered through her quilting, crocheting and other crafts.
She is survived by three daughters; Kay Hodges (and husband, Herman), Lynn Cabe (and husband, Jim) and Lea Brantley (and husband, Rich); a son, Rush Looney; three sisters, Gena Woodward (and husband, D. D.), Jackie Ham (and husband, Joe) and Clydene Joiner; five grandchildren, Michael Hodges, Amy Cabe Shirley, Andi Cabe, Rory and Ryan Brantley; four great-grandchildren, Lexie and Carrie Marburger and Reagan and Kaylea Brantley; an aunt; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
The Rev. Aaron Reed will officiate the memorial service.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, American Cancer Society, Hospice or The First Baptist Church of Bovina.
