Mrs. Oma Little Akin King, 96, of Odessa, Texas, died Sunday, May 4, 2003, at the Home Hospice House in Odessa.
She was born on Aug. 3, 1906, in Gilmore, Ky., to Flint and Susan Little.
She married Bo Akin in 1923 and she married Mike King in 1962. She lived in the Roswell community for 25 years. She was a member of Central Baptist Church in Clovis. She was a former president of Wives of Locomotive Engineers.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Nora Little Goddin, Aileen Hamilton and Dovie Newman; and a brother, William “Bill” Little.
She is survived by a son, Richard Akin of Amarillo; a daughter, Doris Porter of Odessa; a step-son, Bud King of Gilette, Wyo.; a step-daughter, Linda Milburn (and husband, George) of Clovis; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
The Rev. John Curry will officiate the services.
